Feeding our passions through our favourite hobbies and interests is not just great fun, it also keeps our minds and bodies engaged, active and healthy. At on route, our regular events and workshops aim to bring people together to share their passions, inspire them to try something different and exciting, or simply connect with each other.
Come and join us for this one day workshop where we will take a down to earth look at what this idea means .
This is a hands on workshop where you will gain a deeper understanding of the concept of self compassion and learn different skills and tools to help bring this practice into your everyday life.
The idea of compassion (or self compassion) is certainly not new and in terms of using it within therapy and personal development, it is increasingly researched and talked about.
Although a simple concept at heart, living with a compassionate approach to ourselves is not always easy. It is often hampered by negative beliefs we have about ourselves, many of which may have become ingrained over time.
Developing self compassion is about approaching ourselves with a more open mind, developing a nurturing and less critical view and attitude.
Self compassion can motivate and move people towards change. This workshop will be focusing on the benefits of self compassion and give you concrete exercises to help establish this approach as a habit for life
This workshop is open to adults over 18 years of age. It is suitable for those already familiar with the idea of self compassion and those who are exploring it for the first time.
The venue is wheelchair accessible.
